Sacred Heart School received a grant from the Bard Foundation in the amount of $3,000 to install computer kiosks in the kindergarten, second and fourth grade classrooms. The kiosks are part of the Early Reading program implemented in the school. Each kiosk consist of a PC and four monitors and allows four students to use separate applications simultaneously from the controlling PC. Software geared towards specific topics guide the students through exercises and games that make the learning process enjoyable.
Through the fund raising efforts of the Home and School Asscoiation, the kiosks have also been installed in the first and third grade classrooms as well.
